What is Parthi?

Parthi is a student led organisation, based in Mumbai, India; that formed to help society empower women. The word ‘Parthi’ means a woman or girl who is a warrior. It is no secret that in India women of all ages face so many issues and have to fight to just be alive every single day.

Parthi aims to spread a word about diseases like Breast cancer, Turner syndrome, Rett syndrome, and Ovarian and Cervical cancers that can kill women, do pad donation drives, educate women in rural areas about other menstrual products, provide vaccination, spread a word about marital rape and abuse, and help out women from in any and every way possible.

MISHTI RUPAREL

Hey there! I am a 17-year-old currently studying commerce subjects. I have found this team as I have seen so many women in India suffer through so many diseases, menstrual hygiene issues. There have been documentaries made on female feticide and acid attack survivors. There have been many articles addressing marital rape.

YUVRAJ RUPAREL

Hi! I am a 15-year-old currently studying science subjects. Every day in the newspaper or tv, I see incidents of women abuse. Many women get infected because they use dirty cloth instead of a pad. There have been many movies too on female abuse based on true stories.

Mission & Vision

Now, we have come to the conclusion that women need to feel empowered in society by society. So here we present to you our team Parthi that aims to help the society empower women. ~ Mishti Ruparel and Yuvraj Ruparel
